In my experience discussing NOSTR and Bitcoin with USA Normies is that they recognize a need and benefit for Bitcoin but don't see it for NOSTR.
However, everyone feels the financial strain today. The number that feel censorship is much less. NOSTR will have to be all around easier and better to use than any other existing software before someone switches.
