The "super thorough investigation" is actually just a basic Google search. It's not a major hassle.
A stance is believing everything bad you hear about Israel is highly problematic and seems like it would work against (what I assume to be) your goal of acheiving justice for Palestine.
(And this is coming from someone who was, verifyably, arrested at a pro-Palestine campus protest, in case that matters for how you think about my response.)
