perhaps. the thing is though, humans should kind of already be the replacement. yes it sucks when you are navigating and GPS stops working (been there done that). you should have redundant sensors for input, especially in the case of shipping channels. i do not know why that was even brought up, massive container ships are not going to install this random ass thing. what is it gonna look at? the ocean?
