This is the biggest problem I have when I go to "No Kings" meetings. Everyone just wants to keep doing what got us into this horrific mess in the first place. "51%-winner-takes-all" is not working and has never worked. If I got it right, the very word "democracy" means that 51% of people rule...by force aka violence. The real opposite of fascism is not democracy it is consensus-based decision-making aka anarchy. Saying that is one thing, doing it is a whole other matter. I don't know how it could be done but I do know there are many, many ways to do it.
