In the last week or so, I have had several computers come in where the CPU was throttled down. Windows 10. Usually around 0.79Ghz.
On a ThinkPad T550, I updated the BIOS as there was an update available, rebooted and that fixed the problem. CPU back to normal speed.
Now I have the same problem on an HP Pavilion 23 all-in-one computer. No BIOS update available for this machine.
Anyone running into similar issues in the last couple weeks? Have any ideas on what the fix may be? I could install software like Throttle Stop, but would be good to have a fix without additional software.
