You could run 2 trains an hour Bruxelles-Paris really easily, and profitably
But Eurostar does not, because they’ve not invested in new trains, and would prefer to whack up prices
As a result of there being no 16:43 departure, I end up with much more time than I need in Paris for my onward trip
Germany, Switzerland or Austria would have thought of this. France doesn’t
