How can one express that the DNC is running a highly suboptimal candidate who is likely to lose without using pejorative words like "suboptimal" and "likely to lose" (and I thought pretty hard this time about trying to use the least negative words)?

I consider Biden a double-plus ungood candidate, because I feel he is likely to lose to Trump, and I feel strong negative emotions about the fact that the DNC made no previsions for this.
