I can get on board with that. Different relays can have different policies - one relay might allow anyone to respond to your post, another might refuse to accept responses from people you had marked as blocked, and you could choose which relay suits you better.
I was arguing against a protocol policy of respecting blocks across the whole network - that's something that is possible on other networks, but now that I think about it, it wouldn't be possible on Nostr.
