The only reason I’m not joining you in Prague (to show off my new “social onboarding” client) is the money.
Months ago, this project took a “wrong turn”, when I discovered nostr.login wouldn’t work for key generation. As a Nostr noob, I came up with a custom “non custodial” key management and login routine for new users (because it’s THAT important for friction free onboarding) but at the expense of being weeks off my target release date. All this time, I’ve been scrounging pennies (and a few side projects) to make ends meet while I push toward “mvp” release.
I don’t have a bunch of Bitcoin or savings to back me up. I don’t have a “regular” job, and have (maybe wrongly) put most of my available freelance hours into this project, thinking that I’d be able to “talk it up” over Nostr, and get more sponsorships “along the way”.
This strategy has yielded nothing.
The funny thing is … maybe I should have used 1/4 of my 10k January sponsorship to join you in Parauge, cause I DO know how important it is to show face. And talking up my app “in person” wd be clutch.
But I did not… (like I also did not singn up for soveng) and Im not sure I really could not have afforded to … but maybe if I had skimped and saved differently….
Point is … I STILL don’t “know” anyone in Nostr and Bitcoin in order to have these “fund raising” conversations about the importance of “social onboarding”.
I have proof of work (in this latest release ☝🏼) and am ready to build it out further, but I need $$ to do so. How can I get this message heard? Who should I talk to about sponsorship?
