Because people don't want to know. I have female, sporty colleagues with daughters who have "she/her" in their signatures. They haven't thought it through.
I even know women who make a living from sport who are trans-inclusive because they've bought into the crazed lib fem upside down idea that "Admit to any physical differences... the whole edifice of women's rights will come tumbling down. But mental differences... lady-brains trapped in mannish bodies... that all makes perfect sense and is no threat at all."
We live in an age of unreason.
