I'm a strict materialist and don't hold any supernatural beliefs. But I do find it useful or at least fun and interesting to think about the fictional Satan as the god of liberty and symbol of ultimate individual sovereignty and rebellion from archy and oppression.

I have a decent number of borderline evangelicals muted, so I'm sure I unfortunately won't really see the juciest of replies, but I wonder how the Christians of Nostr react to the above statement... If Nostr and Bitcoin are about personal sovereignty, voluntary organization, and escape from control structures, what do you think about the symbolic (or I guess NOT symbolic, for you; real?) figures of God and Satan - with the former being representative of ultimate control, and the latter being representative of ultimate individualism?

I'm going to assume you disagree with some of the symbolic pieces here. which ones?
If you don't disagree with these symbolic positionings, how do you personally square your technological interests and metaphysical beliefs?
