Kyonko802 (npub1jju…533h) supersid (npub17l8…62d2) Rayfield (npub19j2…z285) What's funny is that it took me about an hour and a half to get past the helicopter boss the first time around, and I eventually hard-mode beat it by spamming the starting rifle and missile launcher, dodging the heli's attacks, and then waiting for the stagger to get high enough before dashing in with the sword to melee it.
The strat worked, but it's definitely the hard-mode approach. If anything, Balteus, and the AC fight before him, gave me more trouble than the helicopter did. Though eventually I developed a strat for the AC, and I needed to figure out a better loadout and a better strat for Balteus. I'm looking forward to going back to earlier missions as I get better and better at the game, and trying out whatever newer builds I manage to come up with.
[I'll admit, I'm new to Armored Core, and not very good at it, but fortunately I'm headstrong and stubborn, and so not inclined to give up.]
