It wasn't good that the background elements were censored, but that there was still some semblance of a Christian motif anyway was a good sign.

He has to pay for server space to host websites and to host the videos.

My desktop rig still falls in line with minimum requirements for 2077 [I have a GTX 1060 6GB VRAM, but the minimum supported spec for Starfield is a 1070 Ti.]
Even with the upcoming Phantom Liberty update, and its updated list of supported minimum specs, my graphics card is still covered.
As for RAM requirements, Cyberpunk 2077's minimum is around 12 GB of RAM, whereas Starfield calls for a minimum of around 16 GB of RAM. [RAM requirements aren't that much of a big deal for my desktop rig, but still.]
Now, that's not to say that Starfield won't run on my desktop rig. [Haven't really tried yet. And no, I didn't pay for Starfield, so it'd only cost me my time.] Rather, it ain't officially supported.

@npub1jju…533h @npub17l8…62d2 @npub19j2…z285 What's funny is that it took me about an hour and a half to get past the helicopter boss the first time around, and I eventually hard-mode beat it by spamming the starting rifle and missile launcher, dodging the heli's attacks, and then waiting for the stagger to get high enough before dashing in with the sword to melee it.
The strat worked, but it's definitely the hard-mode approach. If anything, Balteus, and the AC fight before him, gave me more trouble than the helicopter did. Though eventually I developed a strat for the AC, and I needed to figure out a better loadout and a better strat for Balteus. I'm looking forward to going back to earlier missions as I get better and better at the game, and trying out whatever newer builds I manage to come up with.
[I'll admit, I'm new to Armored Core, and not very good at it, but fortunately I'm headstrong and stubborn, and so not inclined to give up.]

Also, the whole damn history of video game development is simulating TTRPG rules in a virtual environment. Many, many games have successfully kept the feel of a TTRPG in video game format. D&D inspired Ultima, and also First Person Dungeon Crawlers in general, like Wizardry and Megami Tensei [amongst many other games].
Fallout 1 & 2 are heavily inspired by the TTRPG Gamma World [and also GURPs], and manages to do just fine at capturing the feel of a TTRPG in a virtual space.
Fallout: New Vegas manages to feel like a well-developed RPG world and setting running in real-time instead of turn-based.
Fuck, even Shadowrun got an adaptation into a Nu-XCom-styled strategy game that kept the spirit of its TTRPG game intact.
When it comes to designing a video game RPG that actually captures the feel of a TTRPG experience, the trick usually involves: 1) focusing on how to adapt the core game essence in a way that's recognizable to players. And 2) Writing a story that axiomatically assumes player agency and consequences for player choices are the essential heart and soul of the game's world.
I already explained all that shit of how this applies to Cyberpunk in that lengthy essay.
Go back and read it.
And yes, I know about technical limitations involving graphical power, memory, storage, development time, and all that. But even factoring that into the equation, CDPR made some really braindead retarded design decisions for the final game that utterly contradicts the established world they're trying to sell to the players.

One thing that really aggravates me is seeing retard corpo cocksuckers dropping takes like this in anything Cyberpunk 2077-related.
Thing is, I played this game since launch Day 1, and have done multiple playthroughs of it.
I'm something of an enthusiast, both for the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG setting, and also for video game RPGs in general.
The expectations at launch, as far as I'm concerned, were not only completely attainable, but entirely reasonable.
The expectations came down to this: Multiple factions to ally with. Reputation system where being friendly with one faction would garner a negative reputation with rival factions. Another Reputation system in terms of overall fame as a merc in Night City. Choices players making earlier on in the game that shape the outcome of events later on in the game. Cyberware upgrading your primary attributes and augmenting one's playstyle. Modifiable weapons.
The clothing players wear impacting their first impressions with NPCs, or how well they blend in/stand out depending on the environment.
Variety in terms of guns, weapons, and armor, each suited to different kinds of situations and/or jobs. Both players and enemies actually having body armor accounted for in damage and defense. Multiple ammo types for guns, which players could switch between depending on the situation.
Aside from installing cyberware, the vast majority of these sorts of mechanics and features were in Fallout: New Vegas.
New Vegas had a mechanic where most minor NPCs would see you wearing a factions' clothing, and would recognize you as either an ally or an enemy on the basis of wearing that factions' clothing. This could even be used to infiltrate a faction and explore without arousing too much suspicion.
This was the case not only for the major factions, but also for most of the minor factions in the game as well.
In Night City, the major factions would be the Corporations and their alliances and rivalries.
The minor factions would be various rival gangs on the street.
In the TTRPG, your fashion sense was important, and depending on the social sphere you're involved in, you're either going to want to blend in, or to stand out. If you're going to a bar, you'll want to stand out. If you're attending the exclusive nightclubs where the rich and powerful go to, you're gonna want to wear the latest and trendiest fashion. In a corporate environment, formal business clothing. People will comment on it Corporate logos? Gang colors? Depending on the environment, people'll either love you or hate you based on your looks alone.
This sort of system isn't an unreasonable expectation, as it's an important element of the setting. However, people would probably let even the lack of this sort of system slide, if there were a good reputation system in place.
Unfortunately, the only thing "Street Cred" affected at launch was your ability to see and buy guns, clothes, and cyberware from different venders. [I think later updates made it affect what job opportunities were available to players, but even then that's a rather minor change in the grand scheme of things.]
And on that note, what people really expected, ultimately, was an RPG, and where combat had a wide variety of options and approaches depending on player build, and where weapons behaved in a somewhat believable manner.
Cyberpunk is the Dark Future, and a certain level of grit is expected in the combat. One would think that weapons, armor, and cyberware would be a big factor in the toolkit for both players and enemies.
Instead, what we got was bland looter shooter bullshit, where guns and melee weapons somehow have "levels" that can be given a generic upgrade for increased damage, by "levelling up" the gun or sword. Armor behaves similarly, for defense. Worse yet, weapons and armor are locked off from even being /equippable/ by players on the basis of the player "not being a high enough level" for the weapon. Utterly absurd!
Melee weapons should do a fixed amount of damage, that only increases through a strength bonus determined by a players' BODY attribute. Bladed weapons, at least, should have the advantage of being treated as armor piercing against soft-armor [I.E. kevlar clothing]. Incidentally, this'd be why cybernetically grafted armor is a big deal, because being a composite of metal and hardened plastic, it should offer much better protection against bladed weapons.
Guns should do damage on the basis of what bullet caliber they shoot. Armor should be rated in effectiveness in terms of what calibers it can stop, or at the very least, slow down. While low-caliber handguns will never be completely useless, there should be certain situations and certain factions where it'd be wiser to bring along something of a higher caliber.
Gun modding also could've been of the sort where you could do things as seen in Solo of Fortune 1 & 2: Alternative barrels for guns to chamber higher caliber bullets, extended magazines for double if not triple ammo capacity, the ability to attach a Smart Link to your gun, options for stocks and/or braces to improve accuracy and handling recoil, being able to turn semi-auto weapons full-auto and vice versa, etc... While New Vegas may not necessarily have gone this far, there are plenty of other games that have given players this level of customization for guns.
Atomic Heart, for example, gave players options for alternative stocks for dealing with recoil, extended magazines, and even alternative frames for the different guns players had in-game. [You had to unlock some of these upgrade paths by exploring the game's world, but hey, they were there.]
The biggest sin of Cyberpunk 2077, aside from opting for looter shooter game design in what should be more of an immersive sim game, is that it gets the relationship between cyberware and primary attributes backwards. Why should I have to level up my Reflex attribute to install cyberware /designed to enhance my reflexes to surpass human limitations/ according to tabletop lore?
Why should I need to level up my BODY stat to install Titanium Bones, various other muscle enhancements, a second heart, and a pain editor, when in Cyberpunk 2020, I could install Muscle & Bone Lace, and Grafted Muscles, and /installing these bodymods/ would give me +4 to my BODY stat?
That system was completely backwards to how cyberware should've been handled. While they did eventually upgrade the Gorilla Arms to give a buff to BODY for purposes of damage and carrying weapons [credit where credit is due], there's still just a lot of bizarre game design decisions that show that the devs really didn't have a coherent vision on how to put this game together.
What had the potential to be a really good game, even a great game, ultimately turned into a very mid game with a lot of missed potential and really botched game design decisions.
TL:DR: Cyberpunk 2077 should've treated the Cyberpunk 2020 Core Rulebook, Blackhand's Weapon's Guide, and Solo of Fortune 1 & 2 as gospel for game design, and should've seen New Vegas as the template to follow. I wouldn't care if they had to scale down on the size accessible in Night City, or even the length of the game, if it meant more branching paths, choices actually mattering later on down the line, and a wider range of different endings.
Gamers were also entirely right to expect more out of the game than what it launched with, and the way it is today, given that other video games had already done more in the past.
Lastly, CDPR is to blame for hyping up the game and showing off features that would end up being cut from the game later anyhow.

It's "The Compact Nelson" 1999 edition, and it sorts kanji according to radicals. It has more than 3000 kanji, and I've used it to double-check kanji for review whenever I've forgotten.

As far as the "everything is political" statement goes, it's a half-truth at best. Politics is a byproduct of whatever theological and ethical framework is the dominant view amongst the leadership. The thing is, those making this take don't have much nuance in their thinking as it is.
The issue is that not only is a lot of media in the West these days extremely preachy in the most hamfisted cringe way possible, but the message that its preaching is objectively harmful and destructive to civilization as a whole.
With LotGH, the series never really preaches any particular political framework to the audience, but rather, shows the pros and cons of different political models, showing characters of both exemplary virtue and wretched vice on both ends of the political spectrum, and also has enough self-awareness and humor to genuinely engage the audience. And it's able to do all of this without undermining its serious tone.
Now, the idea of media influencing and shaping peoples' way of thinking is as old as civilization itself. However, one thing that the ancients understood was that subtlety and craftsmanship is the key to making stories memorable and making the ideals stick. The other thing that was understood was that virtues are a matter of what's in the heart and soul, spilling outward into one's deeds. Likewise, vice flows out in much the same way.
With anime in general, especially in shonen anime, an ethos of friendship, mutual reliance, and willingness to endure hardship and tribulation to overcome obstacles and improve life for the sake of one's people, and ones' community, such themes are just there organically and are baked into the storytelling. It doesn't need to be stated all that explicitly because it's obvious from the relationship between cause-and-effect in the unfolding narrative.
There was a time when Western fiction and storytelling actually understood this art of subtlety, but those days are long since gone.
The powers that be are very furious that people aren't conforming to shitlib nonsense, so they're getting increasingly hamfisted out of spite to hammer down dissenters in line. Only all that approach succeeds in doing is adding fuel to the fire.

Rather, it is the understanding that not every change is an inherent good, and that certain changes [especially with what we see liberal democrats/communists push for] are objectively harmful and destructive to civilization as a whole, leading the way to inevitable collapse.
Civilizations are very hard to build and maintain. It's necessary to build certain boundaries and keep certain taboos in place in order to ensure that a civilization is able to last for many, many generations.
What's important is to make sure that foundation that makes civilization possible in the first place, and able to last, is preserved intact, and that revolutionaries don't end up destroying the very foundations of healthy civilization in the first place.
More than that, maintaining a civilization also means maintaining the cohesion of the people that live in it, through some means of ritual to build, maintain, and preserve social bonds. This is a small fraction of the role that religion plays in a civilization, and is also one of the functions of holidays and civic festivals and celebrations. The development of local custom helps to build and maintain continuity and inter-reliance in a civilization for generations.
This is the essence of traditionalism. Even traditionalist thinkers would say out right that the tradition isn't simply for its own sake, but for the purpose of preserving and maintaining something of value. And that for such a purpose, if a tradition fails to, or worse, actively hinders the well-being of a people, then such a tradition ought to be abolished and replaced with a tradition that better fosters the well-being of a people.
The thing about change is that in itself it is neither an inherent good, nor an inherent evil, yet it is important to actually evaluate whether the particular changes being considered for making are actually beneficial or harmful.
[Re: the matter of prostitution, given that prostitution is an abomination in the sight of God, it is only right to prohibit it, and to chastise those that engage in such activities.]
