I'm starting to wonder if the real motivation for the impeachment is not, in fact, so the house members can seem like they're doing something, but so it can be done, shot down, and impeached again, shot down, and done a third time, so Trump can try to claim that he's not the only twice-impeached (or even tied for most impeached) president.
He's absolutely that petty, but getting everyone else on board seems kinda crazy.
