I have been using FMLA leave this year at work, it has really saved my bacon as I was out of sick & annual leave after 3 years of not being well.* I needed time off to go to medical appt.s and then rest. What I didn't know before this last summer -- FMLA could be used intermittently throughout a whole year.
* my health status still hasn't really improved, though this week has been good.
