Apropos of nothing I can talk about, I am again grateful to Cat Hicks (npub18g0…0a9e) for introducing me to the concept of identity threat; it opened my eyes to the entire concept of identity threat as an accessibility barrier, changed everything about the way I see communicating, coaching, leadership, just about any sort of dealing with anyone. Putting the ideas of identity and empathy at the core of your notions of leadership is an incredible power tool, and an incredible way to understand power dynamics.
