professionally growing up around Hiluxes (or is it Hiluxi?) and other forms of technicals made me truly appreciate that Toyota engineering, and it's the main reason i ended up with an '08 Taco (6-speed manual, btw) after returning from one of my all-inclusive resort vacations in the 'Stan. i ended up putting 245k miles on it and had visions of going to 500k+...
BUT.
i stupidly - i mean fuggin dumbass move of mine - traded it in for a 2019 Tacoma because it was White and shiny and new. but it had that newer shittier engine they developed which is why i'm now driving said 2020 Tundra that my wife tells me is my last real truck until my next real truck.
