Having an autistic kid has been interesting. Like, he still can't tie his own shoes or ride a bike and has difficulty making friends/relating with most kids his age, but he's been undefeated at chess ever since he learned the rules and reads through full length, age appropriate, novels insanely quickly (he read nearly 20 over summer, including the early Harry Potter books) and his vocabulary and emotional intelligence are incredible.
