The GOP could absolutely do better, and they're only holding themselves back at this point. But at the same time, I question the narrative that this was some "huge loss" for them. There were so many elections going on last night and the mainstream media is only focusing on Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The latter of which only voted on ballot measures, rather than actual candidates. The GOP won in Mississippi, and Kentucky voted red on every race except for the governor's. Not to mention the numerous mayoral and schoolboard elections that are hard to get a gasp on if you don't live in the area. The left seems to still be very much in control of the narrative when it comes to who "wins" and "loses" elections. Again, the GOP can absolutely sweep the country if they try a little harder, but I don't think we should trust the mainstream media when they claim they "won", either.
