I don't know if I mentioned I'm working my way through #StarTrekTOS again for the, what? 20th time since 1966? I haven't watched any of them for at least 15 years.
What strikes me (aside from the massive continuity/canon errors in the 1st 10 episodes alone) is how really good the stories and scripts were. Roddenberry produced a fantastic set of scripts. All of them full of great action, pathos, and bathos. No wonder we fell for these characters.
