In the spirit of self-hosting everything, I'm trialling running my own authoritative DNS servers - although I remain unconvinced that this is a particularly good idea.
I'm doing it on a 'fun' domain I bought on something of a whim, because it was insanely cheap and which really isn't used for anything.
So I'm mildly surprised that since I set it up yesterday there have been over 1,000 queries resolved; presumably there's a lot more lookups that were cached, too? Why?!
