Even in that case, my second point still holds. There are many costs to renewables. Thinking of them as "clean energy" is really a misnomer/intentional greenwashing from power companies and the like.
Even with their low levels of CO2, I'm far from convinced the benefits of AI data centers outweigh the environmental and social costs of mining and disposal required to generate renewable energy.
