I have a buddy that's pretty high up at Ford and was intimately involved in their EV program.
Said yesterday they are phasing out all EV only vehicles because nobody is buying them. What people want are a plug-in hybrid that will go 50 miles on the battery.
Other issue is infrastructure. Even modern homes can really only support 1 EV charger. Homes built in the 80's and before can't support them at all unless the energy company does $10,000 of work to upgrade your line.
