More on the "ordinals" thingy.
The current protocol rules seems to make it easier for things like this to be done. However, bloating the blockchain with arbitrary data could be done before (since the beginning).
So, what do we do with rules that allow things we don't want?
First, the obvious questions: "who decides what do we want?", and "who is *we*?".
Similar discussions arose when debating Full RBF.
Things could be done, but some actions might make them easier to do.
I could argue that we should make everything easier and let market decide. That is the direction I usually lean towards to, but I'm still reflecting on this.
Interesting debate overall.
