Yes, it's quite striking how dark cold wintry days are viewed by so many as something they want to escape, rather than something to embrace. Like you, I am, of course, in the latter category-- it is such a unique and rewarding experience in the winter, separate and distinct from summer which I also like. Their loss is my gain-- nice having the entire forest to myself!
