** 9. Frieren / Sousou no Frieren **
The first and only girl from an anime series that first debuted in 2023; in fact, the show is still ongoing at the time of this match. The manga is has been highly praised and has won several awards.
Frieren herself has received plenty of memes from our own Fedi denizens and plenty of love for a beautiful elf. She is also far right, knowing that a irreconcilable group must be destroyed, not coddled or appeased. This gains her much more support on the Fediverse, than just her base cuteness and elf-status.
Frieren the mage has lived one thousand and plus years, gathering both experience and power as a mage, primarily to learn how to defeat demons. Because of her strength, she is hired by Himmel, the hero who would defeat the Demon King, for support in that quest. After Himmel's death, Frieren decided to journey to learn how the importance of relationships, a journey which showed that indeed.
** RR 24. Ushikai Musume (Cow Girl) / Goblin Slayer **
This minor character surprised many with how well she performed in the Royal Rumble. You could attribute her win to her beautiful, country girl form and being a shinging light in a dark and edgy series. We shall see if this light can shine brighter than Frieren's mana.
"We have the first and only true side character in the tournament, a girl that is not the main character like Frieren, not a secondary that is involved with MC's antics like Priestess or High Elf Archer in the same series, nor a part of an ensemble cast like Monster Musume or K-On! Some side characters and extras can impart such impact on people that, while not important to the plot, they are nonetheless remembered fondly, sometimes more so than more important characters.
Ushikai Musume, literally Cow Girl, acts as Goblin Slayer's anchor in the series, preventing from fully wondering the world as an utter loner killing any goblin he sees. She takes care of her uncle's dairy farm, hence her name, and always pushes Slayer to overcome his inward trauma that has left him painfully autistic. Now that I write that, it's no wonder many of you nominated her."
