Majority of Osaka's votes throughout the tournament were for "those who like Fash-E, Dan, Gaolkeeper, Shedinja, a couple of other NCD guys and voted because they were asked to by one of the above." Pre-registration would not be the solution to a few guys legitimately treating the tournament like the game it was.

As of right, Osaka has a tinge of a lead over the Wise Wolf, thanks to Fash-E and company whose powerful energy and drive has never abetted once since he started playing. This guy is an absolute legend, a strike of awe for future Fedi loremasters.

While my sleep schedule is still screwed up, it didn't screw me up that much last night.
Over night some of the Loli Brotherhood, but not the majority of them, which brought a few votes but nothing that would push Senko safely away from Osaka. Meanwhile the Animekampf as continued to push in trickles of Osaka votes.
One group over the morning surprised everyone in showing up: the Nice Crew Digital. NCD is not known for being an instance of loving anime, though there are a few that are anime fans. The NCD is known for several other things, namely being the alt-Fedi instance with the most verifiable amount of women, being, being creators of long hellthreads full of endless chatter that annoys a lot of other Fedi people. They are the most normalfag-friendly of the alt-Fedi. The NCD being non-otaku doesn't mean they cannot vote, so with all their Osaka votes, especially as virtually all have respected both the "no chatting in the poll thread" rule and "no anti-loli/debating loli" rule.
This is a last call to the Fluffy Tail Mafia and Loli brotherhood to wake and push hard for Senko, or she will lose. Remember, this isn't a democratic process. This is a game and not playing the game will make you lose even if your girl is the objectively better girl.

Several Asuka voters have said they would rather vote Holo than Mugi next time. You also have several power players like Fash-E becoming more active and telling multiple individuals to vote when a match is closer compared to when it's not.
When an opponent is overbearingly strong, and it's not the finals, less total people want to participate in a match because they find it boring or unnecessary, unless you have rampant cheating. This has been a consistent thing in both Chuuba tourneys, the Vidya Girl Contest, and throughout this event.

** 4. Yor Forger / Spy x Family **
The Thorn Princess has done well for a new girl on the block. Both Wiz and Raphtalia, who were not weak girls, succumbed to their injuries from Yor's strong and dexterous moves.
This may be her hardest match. While she did well against one of the Fluffy Tail Mafia's girls, Yor did not face against the FTM's main champions.
"Fuck Senko. Yor has to take this shit. I already lost Lum, I have to fight for best wife against the fluffy tails." "We need Lum fans to join the Yor caucus to defeat the Fluffy Tail Menace."
SNEK (not me) from Gearlandia Haus has a pessimistic outlook, "Yor mite lose." This probably is true, but that should not stop Yor fans. A good, glorious defeat is better than a miserable victory. And who knows, strange things have happened throughout this tournament. A miracle for the assassin mommy-wife might be given to her.
GrungeQueef may accidently revealed the missing ingredient for Yor's perfection, "Imagine if Yor had a fluffy tail."
** 12. Senko / The Helpful Fox Senko-san **
The Fluffy Tail Mafia's influence has been rather anemic since the beginning of this tournament, when they were furociously pushing for their fluffy tailed girls into the second round. After the lackluster match with Raphtalia and Liru, they seemed to rebound with Senko and Holo. A closer look though shows that support for both came naturally, with the Fluffy Tail Mafia being rather low-key with all matches.
If they truly believe in their mofu mofu cause, then the memebers of the FTM must rally hard for the next week-and-a-half for their fuwa fuwa girls.
With that being said, Senko has a supreme advantage in this current match. If she wins even by only a few votes, Senko will prove herself to be this tourney's equivalent to Samus.
Wgiwf from Poast seems to be the only member of the Fluffy Tail Mafia whose energy and has been consistent. "VOTE FOR SENKO!"
The Fedi's chief fox girl champion, bronze from the Kitsunemimi Club, shares wgiwf's sentiment, "VOTE SENKO-SAN!!!!!"
Granwalder from Poast offers a Germanism, "The fox will get the bread." At least, I think it's a Germanism.

So far, all but one of the fluffy girls have made it to Round Two. Raphtalia seems like a character, like Senko and Holo, to easily beat her next opponent, but she has one major flaw. Both Senko's and Holo's series are very good. Raphtalia's is a mixed bag, and many on the Fediverse don't like Rising of the Shield Hero, while they enjoy Spy x Family. Still, Raphtalia is one of the bright spots and best parts of the show, which may help.
Gemmany Carter (Formerly Jemmany Buffet) had a eloquent and concise reason to vote for Raphtalia:

DEERBLOOD believes Konata has been overhyped by Fedi Zoomies:

I'm allowed to have vendetta's against anime girls who are being repped by zoomers."
It seems like we have a counter-ideology, Geriatric Anime NatSoc, being formed in the threads of this Tournament. It will be exciting to see the world war that spawn from an Osaka versus Konata or Megumin versus Wiz versus Aqua versus Darkness fight.
There were not many voices discussing Konata compared to her opponent Nausicaä, which didn't stop the blue haired otaku from winning but which doesn't bode well for today's match. We'll see how this Lucky Star performs now that almost everyone understands the system and the tournament has been hyped up since Round One.
** 9. Frieren / Sousou no Frieren **

I warned everyone that Tatsumaki is kind of tiered girl that Osaka could beat.
But consider this: Osaka only received 56% of the vote. That is not that impressive for what should have been a shoo-in match otherwise.
Whether she faces Frieren (easier for Osaka but still unlikely) or Konata (Dante Must Die Mode), Osaka is not going on to the semifinals.

Thirty-two girls came into the tournament and sixteen girls remain. We start the round off with the controversial meme girl from Osaka facing off the psychic Tornado of Terror.
We're also going to be doing things a little different this time. Instead of introducing the girls, which we have already done in both the Royal Rumble and Round One, the host will share his toughts then give what other Fedi friends said about the girls previously.

** 32. Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga / Azumanga Daioh **

Osaka is the most controversial figure in this whole tournament. Barely getting enough votes during the Royal Rumble to even be considered a wild card. She only got a wild card spot because the host decided to let people choose how to deteremine those, and Miia did not automatically bump Osaka out due to a coin flip on the host's part. Both the tie breaker match and the first round match were rife with cheating and Osaka statistically did not have the advantage prior to warrent the numbers she did pull in the first round. Added to that is all the behind-scenes drama and tech and medical problems that prevented full verification of the match. If anything, Osaka is only here due to sheer dumb, sometimes literally dumb, luck. But sheer dumb luck may be what she needs to win Round Two.
We had some detractors who didn't want Osaka in the tournament at all, like William_The_Dragonborn: "Osaka is a literal nobody!"
Both pro-Miia and pro-Megumin Fedi frens are circling the waters ready to trounce on the quiet school girl and all who think this match against Tatsumaki is that shrimple. See for example DEERBLOOD's spicy comment: "Osaka fans should not give up sucking balls and eating cock ass"
Wolf Girls in Wheat Field tried to calm the outrage "Our Osaka is an old school weeb icon that has resurged in popularity recently because memes involving her. Notice how nobody remembers Haruhi despite being huge at the same time, curious?"
** RR 17. Tatsumaki / One Punch Man **

Tatsumaki is the last winner using the Plemora poll method. As the results are most likely inflated, her performance last round does not give a flattering look for her if you scaled the second match as if it was voted with the current system. Then again, Osaka's and Megumin's votes were hyper-inflated so what do I know? Tatsumaki is liked by many, but not beloved and when you think of a girl that Osaka could fight, Tatsumaki is one of them. But with the current system in place and virtually no room for cheating, Tonado fans and anti voters could have a field day today?
Not many Fedi friends commented on Tatsumaki alone without referencing Lain, but some did.
From wgiwf: "Tatsumaki doesn't wear underwear, so she has that going for her this round." Wew!
Tatsumaki's chudcel husbando did not appear often during the second match but he did leave the important messages when it counted: "I will remind u guys about tatsu's child bearing hips"
SIC_Guy warned everyone, "You cannot beat our Tatsumaki." We shall see.

** 14. Rei Ayanami / Neon Genesis Evangelion **
Rei is the other half of the great Asuka vs Rei debate. In terms of the Fediverse, Rei is a weaker contestant than Asuka, not being mentioned as often, not accompanying memes. On the other hand, Rei did not enter the top sixteen seeds for nothing. She has more total nominations that Asuka and still has instant name recoginition even among non-anime enjoyers. Will that be enough to beat the strongest vampire of Tokyo?
Rei was created by Gendou Ikari using the remains of his wife Yui and the physical body of the angel Lilith. Being the clone of a mad scientist's wife and, Rei has little active personality, instead passively soaking in her surroundings while she figures out her place in the world. She may or may not be the key to the end of the world. Oh who are we kidding? It's not much of a spoiler anymore that Rei is the key to activate Third Impact and Human Instrumentality. That renders her a useless, eldritch plot device until the retconning sequels come out. Best thing Hideki Anno ever did was give Rei hair growth for the Evangelion sequel movies.
** RR 19. Nazuna Nanakusa / Call of the Night **
Nazuna is one swell gal. She tied Tatsumaki and Tsumugi for the most votes of the Royal Rumble, especially in a match with the most total votes of an Royal Rumble match. Her series is cool, fun romp, and perhaps objectively better than NGE. Nazuna may be relatively new for anime enjoyers, but she may be on her way to "classic girl" status in a decade or two.

"Ara ara Shido-kun!" Date A Live is a cool series that combines several seemingly distinct genres and tropes into an awesome package: mahou shoujo, rom-com, shonen action, mecha, lolis, aras, and the works. With such a strong variety, you have plenty of girls from this series alone worthy of being in the tournament: Tohka Yatogami, Origami Tobichi, Yoshino, and more. The series revolves around girls with power known as Spirits who threaten the world unless one special guy named Shido Itsuka takes the girls on dates and seals their power with a kiss.
The most popular of girls from Date A Live is the wielder of the time spirit Zafkiel, Kurumi Tokisaki, the twintail sporting a clock eye. Called "the Worst Spirit" for her brutality and misanthropy, Kurumi nevertheless carries a strong sense of justice using her spirit powers to help Shido and the gang, albeit aloofly and independently of the good guy organization, Ratatoskr. Toward the later part of the series, Kurumi reveals her romantic side to Shido . Kurumi is the yandere with a heart of gold.
** RR 23. Anchovy / Girls und Panzer **
Besides Darjeeling, Anchovy is the only GuP girl to get in the main tournament. Anchovy performed very well in her Royal Rumble match, having secured a ten point lead over her GuP rival, Yukari, soundly defeating the battle meido Hayasaka, and crushing the gun autist of Sword Art Online, Sinon. Can Anchovy use her superior Italio-Japanese tactics to face a crazy and in-love Battle Spirit?

"Anchovy (Chiyomi Anzai) is from the manga and anime series Girls und Panzer, where she is the Anzio Girls High School Sensha-dō (tank competition) team leader. Anchovy, nicknamed Duce by her fellow team members (a reference to Benito Mussolini), has guided her team to the top of the Sensha-dō rankings, in spite of their often subpar tanks in comparison to other schools.
She is aggressive and a natural leader when it comes time to battle with other schools, although Anzio is often bested and taken advantage of by its love of cooking pasta and other Italian dishes and ignoring Sensha-dō, something Anchovy struggles to control and which she sometimes enables.
Outside of Sensha-dō, she is kind and affectionate to her friends and even rivals, often asking if she can make some pasta for them. Duce! Duce! Duce!"

This is a close match. Even during the first hour, Tomoko was able to quickly rise from the rough start that Bocchi gave her. Both exchanged leads over the next three hours, with neither gaining an advantage. Both have vocal supports, including yours truly.

Wew! WEW! Who could have expected this? There was some bias for Senko before this match, but no one expected her to crush Nagatoro this much this quickly. A few souls, led by Jimmy Carter's official Fediverse ambassador, dared to fight against the fluffy tail tide for the love bully's sake, a noble fight, but that will probably do little.

Wiz is the second wild card, and the first one to achieve that simply from vote count rather than tie-breaker. In her match, Wiz mangaged to win 58* votes in her Royal Rumble match, the most of the wild cards, and more than many of the Royal Rumble winners. With KonoSuba's popularity and being a popular girl, Wiz will give Yor trouble.

** 9. Frieren / Sousou no Frieren **
The first and only girl from an anime series that first debuted in 2023; in fact, the show is still ongoing at the time of this match. The manga is has been highly praised and has won several awards.
Frieren herself has received plenty of memes from our own Fedi denizens and plenty of love for a beautiful elf. She is also far right, knowing that a irreconcilable group must be destroyed, not coddled or appeased. This gains her much more support on the Fediverse, than just her base cuteness and elf-status.
Frieren the mage has lived one thousand and plus years, gathering both experience and power as a mage, primarily to learn how to defeat demons. Because of her strength, she is hired by Himmel, the hero who would defeat the Demon King, for support in that quest. After Himmel's death, Frieren decided to journey to learn how the importance of relationships, a journey which showed that indeed.
** RR 24. Ushikai Musume (Cow Girl) / Goblin Slayer **
This minor character surprised many with how well she performed in the Royal Rumble. You could attribute her win to her beautiful, country girl form and being a shinging light in a dark and edgy series. We shall see if this light can shine brighter than Frieren's mana.
"We have the first and only true side character in the tournament, a girl that is not the main character like Frieren, not a secondary that is involved with MC's antics like Priestess or High Elf Archer in the same series, nor a part of an ensemble cast like Monster Musume or K-On! Some side characters and extras can impart such impact on people that, while not important to the plot, they are nonetheless remembered fondly, sometimes more so than more important characters.
Ushikai Musume, literally Cow Girl, acts as Goblin Slayer's anchor in the series, preventing from fully wondering the world as an utter loner killing any goblin he sees. She takes care of her uncle's dairy farm, hence her name, and always pushes Slayer to overcome his inward trauma that has left him painfully autistic. Now that I write that, it's no wonder many of you nominated her."

We enjoyed a pleasant snoozer over the weekend. The Tornado of Terror thoroughly crushed her opponent with the same ease she does for enemies in One Punch Man. We perhaps have another sleeper. Fighting for the right to move, we have the long time memer and meme-sensation, Konata Izumi versus the Ghiblian princess, Nausicaä.
** 8. Konata Izumi / Lucky Star **
Ah! Lucky Star! Both famous and infamous among internet denizens for establishing classic anime memes, promoting a positive image of otakuism, pushing the moe aesthetic, and setting the final line between the old school anime industry and modern.
Konata is the long and blue haired heroine of the show, and with her quartet of friends, Kagami, Miyuki, and Tsukasa she survives Millennial Japanese high school all while indulging her hobbies of anime and video games, hobbies inhereited from her otaku and lolicon father.
