the mid 2000s had a lot of black NFL players known for some insane shit off the field. Michael Vick's Dogfighting Ring, there was Chad Johnson being a fan favorite for racking up fines for some of the most insane touchdown dances, and TO and Pacman Jones also were getting involved in controversies every fucking week (and touchdown dances).
They also weren't known for their careers as much as being popular with the fans because every time you watched a Bengals game in the 00s you were waiting for Chad Johnson to do something insane this time when he scored.
