I knit an insert to make the sweater neck smaller in front, sewed and grafted it in place, and reknit the ribbing. Success! The insert just looks vaguely decorative, especially after I did a tiny bit of duplicate stitch at the bottom point to cover up some weirdness related to grafting and increases. Now my clavicles are sufficiently warm.

I won’t really be sure how it’ll come out until it’s been washed, but I’m too busy wearing it.
