If “dividing is the wrong move”, then this article does a poor job at illustrating how BITCOIN IS NOT DIVIDED, DESPITE THE POLITICS SURROUNDING IT.

For example, these “best interests” and what you “care deeply about” (quoted bellow) are actually shared values across most of Bitcoin culture (as I can tell). Not only do you you fail to lean in on this opportunity, but you imagine yourself as some “Bitcoin outsider”. Why?

> “I think it’s in the best interest to continue educating on bitcoin, advocating for grassroots adoption at the individual/community level, holding politicians accountable when they try to overstep, … and not desperately clinging to politicians’ words on the campaign trail…”

> “As for me, an independent voter, I care deeply about Bitcoin, it’s long-term success, and seeing as many people as possible around the world use and benefit from this revolutionary money and technology.”

Your closing remarks say it all. In fact a LOT of Bitcoin culture (even yourself) ARE on the same page. If dividing is the wrong move, then we should START by showing the world how we are NOT divided. Divisive politics are boring. Bitcoin can be better than this.

> “my hope is that … those on the outside looking in may see that NOT ALL OF US ARE ON THE SAME PAGE, and that Bitcoin is for anyone regardless of your political party or who you plan to vote for come November.”

I’ve asked you many times before, and NOT gotten an answer.

- What exactly is a “progressive bitcoiner”?
- What values are actually so different?
- Why do you feel the need to differentiate?

If your objective is to “attract self identifying progressives to Bitcoin”, I’m not sure that playing to divisive culture tropes is gonna win that battle for you. I honestly think “unity despite politics … cause we have shared values after all” is the more effective message. Especially for “politically homeless progressives”.

But hey. I’m just a nobody.
