Trump was telling lies faster than anyone could debunk them within the time limits allowed.
The Gish Gallop is ridiculous enough in debates with creationists, but here it was especially damaging.
The thing is, everyone involved knew that Trump lies constantly any time you give him a microphone, and that his rabid minions believe the lies.
I'm not sure what the answer is, but this wasn't it.
