Your best bet is to find a scanner that supports driverless scanning using either Apple's Airscan or Microsoft WS-Scan. There is an open source implementation of these called sane-airscan that works on top of Sane, the scanner library for Linux. Whatever scanners are on the compatibility list are your best bet for a not shit spyware scanner.
