Google search is a great case study of how a bad business model can destroy a product. The added value of search is the ability to _quickly_ find a _reliable_ answer. Google now fails on both counts. The fact that you are forced to wade through so many ads (most disguised to appear as legit results) to find a trustworthy answer adds considerable friction and time. Also, AI is inherently unreliable, so the new AI stuff is just more garbage to wade through. More delays to get to a result. Neither DuckDuckGo nor Kagi have these problems.
