android is actually such a shit operating system. i dont care if its open source, being so dependent on java literally rapes it beyond repair and all this slop it has.
i remember compiling/porting some firmware/rom on android and it also took >16 gb (yes, MORE than 16 gb...) to compile it all, which is MORE than i have. I had to fucking go to cwm on x11 and switch to disk swap JUST to get it to work. I dont think any engineers at Google are competent with that shit.
