"content": "I am going to experiment with some pads on the case to lift the PCB up by a specific amount. Right now the length of the tails from the headers is what determines the PCB height.\n\nThis means the height of the PCB varies, even if slightly, on each build. This, in turn, causes the ideal height of the case to vary, as the screen is attached to the shell of the case.\n\nStandardizing this offset, the pin header size (top), and the height of the case means a better fit for every #thermostat that I make.\n\nAdding these will also require changing the orientation in which the backplate is printed in order to continue avoiding the need for any supports.\n\nThis is the amount of time, #passion and #engineering that I put into this project. ❤️\n\nIf you want to support my efforts in making #OpenSource #thermostats, check my profile on how to donate #bitcoin or buy a thermostat.
