There wasn't report flagging as much as there was literally trying to get your enemies to leave the web or kill themselves and this is why they got emboldened on Twitter. It was also a place to find niche fetishes and schizokino art and pure autism, and uniquely among big tech it was also the one site where firstname lastname accounts were the minority.
The apple ban was the final straw and that's probably when Verizon began to crack down, sold them as fast as possible, and went back to shilling shit phone plans and huffpo propaganda. If Verizon was smart they'd just ban irl porn. But they wanted to wash themselves of the problem they just bought and didn't care much otherwise.
