Phew! If it's true that some circles in the EU want to cancel NGI FOSS funding in favor of "AI" then that would be almost as clever as the EU strategically re-orienting Horizon research big money towards Blockchains in 2019.
Public money is supposed to be spent on where it is needed and useful for a convivial society and not where big-corporate driven hype already heaps money into, aiming for big profits and layoffs. Damn it.
