First stage in my migration of checking online status of my AIR node running for Airaga – I now have an AppleScript running in the guest OS which responds to a simple curl HTTP request from the host OS.
If an error, it saves “0” in a status file on my Home Assistant server, if online is saves “1” in the same file, this acts as a simple sensor in HA and notifies me when that server is offline.
Next step is to make it a two-parter for different fail states.
