I was mostly just curious if you had any insights into Scholar. It's mostly a black box, ironic given that it's for open research.

I personally have been using Zenodo DOIs (it's certainly an improvement not having to rely on a separate service anymore), both for CRAN and other software. I get the theoretical benefits, but haven't really noticed any in practice.
