the amiga came with this amigabasic which was a MS basic, and it was utter shit at graphics, and horribly slow at math
using a real language on the amiga required $600 worth of manuals and a $1000 C compiler back then, completely absurd - my second language after BASIC was assembler, and i borrowed my friend's kernel manuals
