One on-site, for daily backups, then at the end of the week I'd exchange that device with one stored in a safety deposit box at the bank. That way even with a primary site loss the worst case scenario would be a week of losses. But with three drives on rotation (two of them in the safety deposit box) even if one of them failed, the worst worst case scenario was a two week loss.
