I was this euphoric when India won (what I call) the 'real' cricket WC with Dhoni as captain. Lost interest after IPL and T20. It was the scandals and things like the BCCI being used to gain political mileage that killed it for me. Think about it, the current BCCI Secretary is Amit Shah's son.
