I see three sources for Gold demand:

1. Golds monetary role, primarily driven by its scarcity (I see gold’s monetary role diminishing significantly)

2. Golds cultural significance/aesthetic appeal (example: a gold wedding ring)

3. Gold’s industrial utility (example: gold usage in electronics)

Will gold retain its cultural significance moving forward? Will future generations continue to value gold in the same way that past generations have?

While I do think Bitcoin will demonetize gold, I will admit that there is something naturally appealing about gold.
