Really appreciate the post and agree with everything except the use of #degrowth here.
The fact we are approaching a collapse and that GDP will drop is a consequence of growth-thinking. Degrowth is about changing goals and processes to reduce the drop in well-being we see coming; it's a mindset shift and not a measure of GDP and it's trajectory.
So I'd rephrase it to GDP decline is going to happen and we can make the best of it by pursuing degrowth, ideally sooner than later.
