Hey Karnage (npub1r0r…q9ac) , did you get your Rabbit r1 yet?
Got mine a couple days ago.
After 1 day of use, the following are some Cons I have experienced FWIW:
--Running OS version 4.3
--Sometimes glitches trying to the R1-OS.
--Limited apps to connect to (only Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, Uber, MidJourney).
--No phone calls, no texts, no VOIP, regardless if on Wi-Fi or SIM.
--Asked "What is the weather like today in (City, State)?" Sometimes it answers by voice while showing a scrollable hourly forecast, while most of the time it's just speaking the forecast only.
--Can't take pics in the traditional sense, no click button pic, have to hold the prompt button while telling it to take a pic.
--Depending on the angle held, the wheel cursor gets stopped by the skin on the back of my index finger of the right hand.
--The on-screen keyboard feels too small, but good enough for entering PW's, but bad for texting or longer form typing.
--Several instances when AI won't respond back after prompting using the prompt button.
--Asked for BTC price quote, only spoke the strike price from three exchanges, no graphs. Continued to give a brief history of Bitcoin. Asked again for gra[h, did not show graph.
--Asked for AAPL stock price, spoke about the price and showed a graph, w/ability to scroll to see daily, weekly, and monthly charts.
--Prompt to create a list and send it to a journal (online Rabbit portal) doesn't always work.
--Able to take a snapshot of a handwritten list and send it to a journal, but if you write like a 8 year old (I do), then it wont grab everything correctly.
--Prompting for translating languages:
---When using English with other languages (tried spanish, korean, and japanese), about half of the time it would translate to the language I wanted, other times just repeated what I said back in English.
General thoughts:
Not impressed yet by its technological capabilities compared to a standard smartphone with an AI app installed on it. Will keep using as the company keeps updating OS and abilities. I LOVE the color, it gets the juices going. Feels awesome in hand. Light weight, though feels solid. Seams and spaces on the device are tight and neat. Speaker good enough. Screen size and resolution are good enough. Camera quality Good enough.
