My kid is learning English as a second language and he was using some corporate program that was supposed to be fine tuned over many years. I noticed that their method of teaching is not great because it forces kids to memorize images instead of read actual text, so I stopped immediately and switched him over to reading one syllable words and gradually building them into sentences.
Now I use ChatGPT to generate custom lesson plans for him. It takes about 10 seconds to generate. I can honestly say this has worked much better than this expensive corpo program.
The tools we have at our disposal now are insane. All it takes is a tiny bit of imagination and a drive to try things.

I’ve started a bunch of play projects and wanted to use Nostr but all the LLMs consistently struggle with current Nostr libraries. It’s very rare to get something working just right. At most I’ll get nip7 working and subscribing to relays and fetching events, correct types and meta data but it always breaks down for anything more complex. Even basic auth randomly breaks down and I end up wasting a lot of time trying to get it to work.
For this reason a lot of my side projects are unfinished and unpublished. One step forward, two steps back.
Working with video or audio is a huge pain too. If always tends to break somewhere and fixing one issue only creates 2 others.

Alright. This one time as a kid I had a dream where I got a piece of round chocolate with plum inside. It would have been a normal dream if that’s all that I saw but the strange thing is I had 6 unrelated dreams in one night that all featured this one piece of round chocolate with plum inside. I know it to be 6 because I found it very odd and counted them the moment I woke up. Never in my life have I had 6 dreams in one night seemingly unrelated stories about the same object. But why chocolate? Why this one? It wasn’t very common type of chocolate, I’ve certainly never had it in my life and never seen it before. Was it because I was a kid and I liked chocolate? Weird …
But this is where it gets more interesting…
The day that I had this dream on the morning of to be precise, I leaned that we’d be going to visit my grandpa in the hospital. I was not aware of this plan until I woke up that day. My grandpa had an eye injury from a construction site incident many years prior.
So we go to the hospital and he comes out to see me and my mom before going in for surgery - he was already there I guess. He chit chats with my mom and then turns to me and says I have something for you ..
At this point I’m thinking what could a guy staying at the hospital possibly have for me… he moves his hand from behind his back and gives me … the same piece of chocolate I saw in my dream(s). Plum inside and all .. at this point my world sort of collapsed around me as I stand there trying to comprehend what is going on. How could this be? Their conversation into a blur as I continued trying to work out this peculiar situation.
Shortly after we waved our goodbyes and he went into surgery.
That was the last time I would see him. Some days after the surgery he passed due to complications from this procedure.

The way to do politics is not to associate yourself with any one individual but to support a specific action only. A politician will always let you down in some way. Tying your identity to them only makes you defend the worst of their actions for the sake of appearing consistent - it’s a human bias and politicians count on it.
Instead of saying I support Trump, you could say I support Trump’s action of releasing Ross.
Become politically neutral and don’t tie any part of yourself to them. This will keep your thinking objective and more rational. You can then condemn any action that goes against your values should you choose to.

I just read the EO for the reserve and honestly it sounds fantastic. I don’t know what everyone is frowning upon.   The fact that that is no buying happening is probably a good thing since this is being put into a single basket with shitcoins. You don’t want the public to get angry (rightfully) for utilizing tax payer money to buy shitcoins. That would be a PR disaster for bitcoin by mere association.   This is like the first time we have had any positive press from the White House that paints bitcoin in positive light and that is huge. I’m actually glad they are not going to buy any further bitcoin at the moment because I don’t want them to have any. This gives us more time to stack, for natural adoption to take place to hopefully severely limit the available bitcoin for the reserve, should the time come to buy.
It’s unlikely congress would approve of any such spending anyway, so it’s weird that bitcoiners expected there to buy purchasing going on. Though, this EO DOES spell out that there will be a review of strategies to acquire more:   “(c) The Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of Commerce shall develop strategies for acquiring additional Government BTC provided that such strategies are budget neutral and do not impose incremental costs on United States taxpayers.”   This is the correct path I believe, unless that acquisition involves civil forfeiture (which it could… and I don’t think anyone would be happy with that).

It would be cool if kind1 clients could detect all sorts of events and instead of rendering them - show that there is an event and surface some popular clients to open them in.
This would help discovery of new clients and use cases without adding massive complexity and technical debt.
I believe we designed this for the feed already but it never grew legs.
Dropping it again in case some ambitious dev decides to execute on this idea
