There’s a bunch of research on the correlation between people who swear and intelligence. Most explanations chalk it up to verbal fluency. That would be a direct correlation.
I have a different, inverse correlation theory.
Intelligent people are incessantly surrounded by what they view as stupidity and express their displeasure with epithets like “What on earth are those stupid fuckwit asshats thinking.”
Personally, I KNOW my swearing goes through the roof when dealing ignorant shitheels.
