Apple "envisions a future where a ubiquitous AI system that knows all about you can use that knowledge to surface the right information and take action on your behalf" ... or, far more likely, on behalf of whomever controls said AI.
Seriously, how much convenience do people think they'll gain that it outweighs the potentially horrifying reductions in privacy and control (all of which is in addition to huge energy use).
