The only thing stopping me from seeking “not low fruit” funding is time … where to I put my effort today?
Right now, my onboarding client is not MVP complete. That means… what’s released does work but is not “useful”. MVP comes when “new profile creation lands in a DM chat with the ‘advocate’ who invited.”
Once MVP complete, the value proposition for “social onboarding” will be more obvious and I can (hopefully) more easily attract “nostr adjacent business” sponsors.
My pitch is that “everybody wins when nostr is shared with friends”. I’m optimistic that there do exist actual businesses lurking in the Nostr sidelines waiting for “the right time” and “the right projects” to sponsor.
It won’t be easy, and I am no salesman, and this path will take some time, but this is ultimately how “social onboarding” will help carry Nostr through the “rocky times” of developing global “network effect”, without “central moderation” to keep out bots and bad actors.
So before taking THAT plunge … I see if OpenSats (npub10pe…n34f) (or some other Nostr fund?) will support early development beyond MVP, so I can get closer to v1 “target release” and demonstrate real world “it’s being used and more trusted people are joining nostr” results that businesses sponsors will want to see.
