the absolute majority of smartphone buyers don't care about those things. if anything they care more about being able to run their bank app and get push notifications (and on midrange to flagship phones, google/apple pay), which is often incompatible with degoogling. iphones come degoogled out of the box and have e2e encrypted backups and sync for those who care.
